Nahulu Carvalho | Puʻuone | 7/21/2014

Today we mālama the loko iʻa Honokea by halihali pōhaku to finish the rock wall on the other side of the loko iʻa so that the water doesnʻt eat up the land.  Then we had to make the L shape pā pōhaku bigger so that the water will flow out into the ocean from the loko iʻa so that it doesnʻt stay in one place. Then it was free time. We had to hehihehi on the bottom of the loko iʻa so all of the oil and fish kiʻo out of the loko iʻa so it can be clean. The water needs to be clean so that the loko iʻa is healthy and so the fish can be healthy. That is what we did on the 2nd day of ʻO Ka ʻĀina.
